What is waslpay?
waslpay is an invoicing app for businesses in Iraq. You create invoices and quotes, send them to clients on WhatsApp, and clients pay online with FIB, QiCard, Zain Cash, a card and more.
Who is waslpay for?
Freelancers and small businesses that bill clients: agencies, consultants, landlords, contractors, schools, clinics and shops.
How do I get an account?
Message us on WhatsApp. We set up your company with you and invite you in, then help you send your first invoice.
Do I need to install anything?
No. waslpay runs in the browser on your phone, tablet or computer.
Sending invoices
How do invoices reach my clients?
On WhatsApp. Your client gets a message with a link to the invoice, which opens in their phone’s browser.
Does my client need an app or an account?
No. They only need WhatsApp. The invoice opens in the browser with one tap.
Can I send quotes as well?
Yes. Quotes go out on WhatsApp too, and an accepted quote becomes an invoice without retyping.
Can my client get a PDF?
Yes. Every invoice and quote has a PDF copy your client can download.
Getting paid
Which payment methods can my clients use?
FIB, QiCard, FastPay, Asia Hawala, Zain Cash, NassWallet, and Visa and Mastercard credit and debit cards.
Is online payment secure?
Yes. Payments are processed through a PCI-compliant gateway, and each payment is tracked against its invoice.
Can I record cash and bank transfers?
Yes. Record payments made outside waslpay so every invoice shows what is really owed.
When are payment reminders sent?
One before the due date, then 3, 7 and 14 days after it if the invoice is still open. You can also send one yourself at any time.
How often can recurring invoices go out?
Daily, weekly, monthly or yearly. They generate and send on schedule without you touching them.
Your account and team
Can my team use waslpay?
Yes. Invite colleagues as admins or members. Each person has their own login.
Can I run more than one company?
Yes. Manage several companies from one login. Each company’s data is kept fully separate.
Can I get notified when a client pays?
Yes. Link your Telegram and choose which updates you want, such as new payments.
Is there an API?
Yes. A REST API covers clients, quotes, invoices, payments and tax rates, so you can connect your own systems.
